There are so many occasions when
you are considering dressing your windows, whether
in your home, office, factory etc. Once you have decided
on the colour of the room and décor, it is
essential that the window dressing will compliment
not only the room but also the light being reflected
into the room and the simplicity or complicated dressing
of the windows and patio doors.
There
are pros and cons to both curtains and blinds and
these need to be taken into consideration, but today
a lot of people are coming to the conclusion that
blinds can be a cheaper, easier option which are easy
to clean and come in such a variety of colours and
materials that it is hard to not find something which
will compliment your room and style.
Advantages
of Blinds
- Blinds
can match most room styles, regardless of changes
you make to the wall and furniture colours and
come in a variety of styles and fabrics.
- Depending
upon the style, they can be quite inexpensive
and if one of the blind slats is broken, it can
easily be replaced.
- Blinds
can reveal much more of a window than curtains
and can be drawn across to let in the light but
cut down on the sun.
- Vertical
blinds are easy to clean, and can be fitted within
the window/patio door space or outside so therefore
can be more flexible than curtains.
- The
blinds themselves can be dressed with valances
etc. to give a different feel/look.
Blinds, like curtains can be made to order.
